Game night was the best!!
Tom was a bit of a disappointment, falling asleep. But then he was in a far better condition for our boating day next.
Sophie, James and I were slightly delirious all day. My memory is very vague but one thing I do remember from the morning was an indepth discussion over the breakfast table about cereal.

Progress on the games.
Super Mario we did some, not that much. We got 8 stars, apparently out of 150 according to James?
Zelda Ocarina of Time we have just gotten the Triforce and turned into the adult Zelda, now we have to go save some Forest Girl. (Which I so bet is Saria)
Link spends all his time running around saving people. He's a nice guy. Oh and I haven't mentioned - LINK IS SUCH A PLAYER!!
Seriously.
Almost every major girl character he meets develops a thing for him. And then he leaves them. I shall list them.

1. Saria. I feel sorry for Saria. She's his original girl best friend type character, and she's so happy for him when he gets Navi the fairy. She's cute, I like her. When Link has to leave she comes to see him off and she's all sad and gives him... I forget what, but she gives him something to remember her by. Aw! So then Link runs off leaving her back in the forest home, while he meets all these other girls and she's just back waiting for him.

2. Second girl is Zelda I think. The Princess. She has green eyebrows and wears a headscarf and looks really weird. She lets Link in on her suspicion about the bad guy, Ganandorf, and later gives us the Ocarina of Time, a funky instrument that plays pretty songs.

3. Third girl who likes Link is Malon. She's this farm girl who rocks from side to side and looks a bit crazy. She probably is a bit crazy.

4. Princess Ruto. At first I hated her because Link meets her inside this giant fish god and she's all rude and like 'i'm not moving, oh fineeee you can carry me then'. And so for the whole fish bit you have to pick her up and carry her all the time. It's not that bad though because she can't get hurt and you can throw her at things that can hurt you to get them out of the way. So when you've beaten the boss and saved the day, she is STILL rude! Complains about us ditching her or something. Whatever.
But then she turns nice and slightly obsessive with Link, giving him her stone thing but saying it is an engagement gift? She somehow words it like by giving it to Link she is going to marry him someday. Freaaak. But in a nice kind of way.

That's all so far, but considering James says we've only done about 30/40% of the game, that's quite a lot of girls so far. Link gets around. Well he doesn't but he could if he wanted to I think.

As James has said in the previous blog we will be having another game night some time this holidays. Before I go I will share with you the funniest bit so far.

Alright, so after Clare met her new girlfriend, Princess Ruto: Princess of the Zora's, (although, she still has one possible girlfriend to meet before she makes her decision) and we retrieved the 3rd Stone from her, we ran to Hyrule Castle to find Zelda and Impa riding away from Ganondorf!!! D: She threw us the Ocarina of Time and we went to the Temple of Time where we played the Song of Time to open the Door of Time and pulled out the Master Sword to become the Hero of Time! It was great. But we were trapped in the Sacred Realm for 7 years and when we woke up we were all (except for me) surprised to see Link in ADULT FORM!! Clare and Sophie both thought we had almost finished the game, where I have already played it, and Tom was sleeping and wanting to play Mario.

Anyway, then we went out in the boat which was TERRIFIC. I'm sure Sophie will upload some photos onto here, and then we got back and I fell asleep at about 6pm, and just woke up at 9am, meaning I've slept for 15 hours o:

We have scheduled another gaming night for the 2nd/last week of holidays so we can *hopefully* finish off Zelda, and then Tom will get back from Rainbow Beach and we will finish Mario then! So, see you all in a couple of weeks!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

ahh, we just came back from watching the sunrise! love love love the sunrise so much. (:

we
woke tom up at around 4.10 and left the house at 4.20 to watch the sunrise. which usually happens 4.30ish.
tom, james and i raced a couple times and then james suggested we go to the top of the toilet blocks.
which was a very good idea because it gave us a really nice view of the sun rising ^______^
anywayyy, i apologise for this writing. it probably just sounds like incoherent babbling. but i think that i should be given a little bit of leeway considering my lack of sleep and all.

ENOUGH.

Right now we are up to Dodongo's Cavern, the second dungeon in the game and we are are pretty much pwnzing.

We also noticed the extremities of Navi's helping, which CAN get on your nerves (although I absolutely love her) and led to me finding this video~

And then earlier, I also showed Clare, Soph and Tom this video which we find HILARIOUS (well Tom not so much) but we plan on learning the dance.

Anyway, we have almost completed the second dungeon, and AFTERWARDS we will be moving on to the third, where Clare will meet her choice girlfriend (mine being Saria, and Sophie's being Zelda, in case you didn't read the earlier post).

Tom is still asleep, but he can have the farm girl Malon. (:

2.

Hi
We have now been playing Mario/Zelda for about 5 and a half hours.
We quit playing Mario after defeating Bowser.
Then moved on to Zelda.
I much prefer Zelda. Plot lines really do make a difference and it's more fun. I also really like going crazy with the sword smashing things.

Tom has fallen asleep and been waking up every now and then, mumbling some incoherent thing and then falling asleep again.
I just paused in writing this to stare upon his unconcious features for a bit.
He looks so peaceful and puffy-faced :)

Sophie is playing right now and we are on our way to get the second spiritual stone from Death Mountain. Ominous name much?
James is youtubing funny Zelda videos.

Zelda has such a good soundtrack!

We have been recording funny quotes, I'll share the ones we have so far.

Sophie: (about a skulltula) What a dumbass!
-Sophie walks into the skulltula and gets hurt-
James: That dumbass just hurt you!

James: Yeah okay, I like Saria and Sophie likes Zelda, so Clare likes Malin.
Clare: Not the farm girl!

(First appearance of Zelda)
Clare + Sophie in unison: HEY! How old is she?
Clare: Yeah, I was going to say, Zelda is rather developed.

Zelda: *grumpy face* Come on don't be a blabber mouth!

James: Can you see the man with the evil eyes?
Sophie: Yep, he's holding a stick ;)

(about Zelda)
Clare: She's wearing a headdress.
Sophie: She must be Indian!
James: LOOK NO! She's 10 years old. She doesn't know fashion. Please be nice to the important people.

James: Okay be nice about this person (Impa)
Sophie: He's a hottie!
Clare + James in unison: He's a she!

(about Impa)
Sophie: Are you sure that's a woman?
James: Yes, she has boobs!
Sophie: They look like pecs.
James: Well, you can tell from another angle.

James: Saria, I'm coming! I love you! ...*whispers* I know where you live

Saria says: Don't you want to play the Ocarina with me?
Clare: Why isn't she saying what she really feels? 'I love you Link!'
Sophie: Because it's code. 'Want to play the Ocarina with me' means 'want to kiss me?'
James: Guyssss they're children!

Back to the gaming!

okay!
how exciting.
here are the preliminary documentation photos of our epic gaming night :D
so far we've gone through several pieces of pizza and half a bottle of both mountain dew and sunkist.
the only reason we've drunk so much of the sunkist is thanks to that darling thomas.
so far he has
- spilled sunkist all 0ver the floor
- tripped over the rock holding the door open
- nearly broke the antique rocking horse
- smashed the magnetic spinning toy
to be continued..

we've collected 8 stars on super mario 64 and are up to our first bowser dual. ;)

i have been noogied umpteen times.
and people have pinched my cheeks like a billion times
it's disgusting.

one of these days i will fight back
and kill them all.
and then i'll show them
just because i look more like a 5 year old than the 16 year old i truly am.
*sigh*.

anyway. i'll pass it over to one of the others so they can document something other than my victimisation and tom's clumsiness

Starting soon~

Hey everyone!

As you may or may not know, Tom, Clare, Sophie and I (James) have been planning a video game evening/s where we stay up all night playing old classic video games that are extremely fun! In case you haven't already guessed from our header, the games we will be playing are for the Nintendo 64 and include Super Mario 64 & The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Anyway, if all goes to plan (which it will, don't you worry) we will be starting tonight! So we'll keep you updated on the many mishaps and scrounging that is sure to come alongside our questing in the video game worlds.

So you know, we will be using coloured text to make it easier to tell who is who.

Obviously I am green.
Sophie is blue.
Clare is red.
Tom is yellow.

Yellow may be a little hard on your eyes, but I'm sure you can just highlight the text to make it easier to read, and you can always reference the picture in the header to remind yourself what colour belongs to who, as our names are coordinated!

Presuming nobody dies and we all make it my house, we should be starting around 8 or 9pm tonight.

See you all soon~!
